VSP athletes pursue both strength AND power adaptations through the application of velocity-based training protocols. The combination of explosive resisted exercises and traditional barbell movements programmed with precision and executed with savage effort result in the greatest sport performance improvements.
Speed Development
SPEED KILLS! That's true on the court or on the field for EVERY SPORT at EVERY LEVEL. It's also true that SPEED IS A SKILL, a skill that can be taught and developed with the right training. VSP speed programming addresses both acceleration and max velocity, the two fundamental components of speed. Athletes must get to top speed in as little time as possible and then must be able to hold that top speed as needed. VSP athletes are led through drills, horizontal plyometric exercises, and full speed runs of varying distances. Everything is timed, ranked, and recorded.
